We may live in the country but we are still considered part of that Chicagoland area that is in the middle of a DEEP FREEZE!
Well maybe this polar bear is upset too the kids didn't go, ya think?
Mike and I had a date night Friday evening and took our other son his t.v. before he left to go back to college. Saturday and Sunday were big football days at our house and then Sunday night was Seaso
n Premier of 24, Mike's favorite show. All in all it was a good weekend.
At the beginning of the week we were under a BLIZZARD storm watch. And it did snow and to tell you the truth it seem like it was never going to stop snowing. Mike would plow the driveway, shovel the porches and then start all over again. We have so much snow, I haven't seen this much snow in years! Now we are under a DEEP FREEZE warning with temperatures below 0 then factor in the wind chill and your talking -20 this morning in some places.
Of course they called the kids off school today. I think I have the only kid who was upset he couldn't go. I did check to see if he had a fever this morning don't worry.
Well maybe this polar bear is upset too the kids didn't go, ya think? This weather is suppose to be like this for the next few days, UGH!!!!
Someone get this guy some medical attention for his tongue, and fast!
Over the weekend before it got too cold Keanen had two of his good friends stay the night. Friday night they went and played basketball with the youth pastors from the church and then Saturday played games all day and Sunday they went ATV riding in the snowy farm fields. Which turned out to be educational, they found the remains (skeleton) of a deer while riding. Pretty cool I think. I asked Keanen if he wanted to go back and gather it for Biology class, he said no.

I found these cool things I could get for Mike, you know his birthday is just around the corner. I mean who wouldn't want an action figure of Jack or how about the Chloe mouse pad for their desk???

Brrr......and I thought it was cold here! I will NOT complain anymore! Hope you thaw out soon!
How sick are you of all this weather? I think we've had more snow this year than we have in the last 5 winters.
I'm sick of chapped skin, of white or yellow snow (or blackened gook under my car wheels)
of driving below 35 miles per hour!
of never really feeling warm...not even when I'm sleeping.
Keep Warm!
We hardly ever get any snow ~ my 3 year old has never seen any. But i think even my kids would eventually begin to tire of all that coldness and snow you are getting!
Sending some milder weather your way!
love,
Amanda x
When I was a little girl, growing up in Illinois, I always used to listen to Ray Rayner! Do you remember him? I always thought the wind chill factor was the windshield factor- LOL!
The polar bear at the bus is too funny. I know it has been very cold here too in the NC mountains. The snow is pouring as I type.
